2 June 1878: Mary Bernadette Prasad Kispotta, Servant of God, the first daughter of father Puran Prasad and mother Paulina was born in a Lutheran family of Sargaon which belongs to Jharkhand State of India.
16 June 1878: Baptism of Christ Anandit Ruth in the Lutheran Church.
2 June 1890: Admission in the Loreto Convent School.
31 July 1890: Christ Anandit Ruth accepted the Catholic faith. On the same day she received the first Holy Communion and she was given a new name – Mary Bernadette Kispotta.
21 February 1892: Mary Bernadette received the sacrament of Confirmation by Most Rev. Paul Goethals, Archbishop of Kolkata.
24 May 1897:Knowing the holy will of Bernadette and her three Companions, the Authorities of the Church accepted them first as the Sodalists in order to test their vocation.
26 July 1897: Establishment of the Congregation of the Daughters of St. Anne, Ranchi. Mary Bernadette and other three Companions – Cecilia, Veronica and Mary were accepted as the Postulants.
6 February 1899: Entrance in the Novitiate.
8 April 1901: They took the First Profession after having received formation by the Loreto Sisters in the Novitiate.
26 July 1906:Mary Bernadette and her three Companions took the Final Profession.
1 November 1903 – 31 October 1906: Mother Mary Bernadette was appointed as the first Superior General of the Congregation.
21 November 1915 – 31 December 1918: Mother Mary Bernadette was appointed as the Superior General for the second time.
14-29 July 1949: Mother Mary Bernadette was admitted in the Holy Family Hospital Mandar due to the disease of Tuberculosis (T.B.). In the painful period of her ending life, her virtues like patience and forbearance were seen all the more. She used to say: “My suffering is very less than the suffering of Jesus”. Surrendering totally in the hands of the nurse, she used to say in the time of pain: “Lord, I want to go to you, but let your will be done and not mine”.
16 April 1961:Mother Mary Bernadette breathed her last in Mother House Ranchi during the prayers and ejaculations of the Sisters and Novices.
5 November 1995: The sacred relics of Mother Mary Bernadette and her three Companions are brought from the graveyard situated in Tamtam, Ranchi and are placed with honour in the newly built shrine in the courtyard of Mother House.
24 July 1915: Jharkhand Andaman (JHAAN) Bishops’ Council granted its consent to begin the process of beatification of Mother Mary Bernadette Kispotta, the Founder of the Congregation of the Daughter of St. Anne, Ranchi.
November 2015: The brief biography of Mother Mary Bernadette Kispotta was submitted to the Sacred Congregation for the Causes of Saints in the office of Rome.
7 August 2016: Mother Mary Bernadette Kispotta was declared the Servant of God by the decree of His Eminence Telesphore P. Cardinal Toppo, D.D., the Archbishop of Ranchi in St. Mary’s Cathedral Ranchi.
